After four years without SAP offline conferences in Lithuania, the SAP Innovation Day in Vilnius was an incredible event that exceeded all expectations! The day was filled with valuable insights, inspiring speeches, and the joy of reconnecting with colleagues and clients.
The event started with an electrifying speech by Timo Elliott, who talked about AI's transformative possibilities for business and software development. To name just a few:- Access to reliable, up-to-date data becomes easier, empowering businesses to make data-driven decisions; Implementing a strong data foundation (better data quality) allows to view modern federated data as a product;
- New technologies (like moving to the cloud) lead to inspiring new business models;
- You can now "write code" in a human language – thanks to low-code/no-code instruments. Businesses can innovate faster and easier!
Timo's insights were followed by Nerijus Mačiulis from Swedbank, who provided an in-depth overview of the Lithuanian market. His analysis was both enlightening and thought-provoking, setting the stage for meaningful discussions about market trends and opportunities.
Another highlight was the presentation by Shantanu Goswami, who provided a comprehensive overview of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), offering exact and actionable insights that left us all feeling inspired and informed about leveraging SAP BTP to drive innovation.
Apart from the speeches about SAP products (SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Contour, and more), there were also customer stories, offering real-world perspectives on implementing SAP solutions. We were particularly moved by the experiences shared by Olena Toporovska from Retal, Natalija Levit from Franmax, Jurijs Masans from Luminor Latvija, and Jekaterina Timofejeva and Lina Ponomarioviene from Girteka Group. Their narratives about building strong "purple teams" within their companies were truly priceless and resonated deeply with all attendees.
